Just got the new flat lens dive housing…it is absolutely amazing! We took it out in the pool last night and flipped around so much that we could barely tell which direction was up. Enjoy :)

If you are EVER shooting underwater with the GoPro, definitely definitely definitely invest in the new Dive Housing, it is better and more affordable than all competitors, no FOV issues whatsoever!

For anyone who is having a hard time balancing the new affordable Opteka SteadyVid Pro, or other arc-type stabilizers.

Just want to remind people that these stabilizers won’t make you a perfect operator overnight. That comes from knowing what to look for when balancing, and months of practice practice practice.

I totally agree, these stabilizers aren’t gonna make everything smooth overnight, it takes a lot of practice! I’m more of a fan of vertical stabilizers but for the price, this SteadyVid Pro is legit! A lot cheaper than a Merlin!

THINGS I LEARNED TODAY:

the little white thing that comes with the GoPro helps get rid of that super annoying clicking sound! WOW #lifechanged Also, it keeps the mount safe and secure especially in wet conditions.

Guys, this just came in yesterday and it’s awesome! If you’re shooting with the GoPro underwater this is a MUST BUY! The difference is night and day, it is so clear underwater, looks amazing! It’s weird cause I’m so used to seeing that soft focus it normally has underwater, so when I saw the footage we got it just blew me away, plus the new case looks sick. There’s no vignetting or FOV issues too! I’ll have a video comparison up soon, until then pick one of these up on GoPro’s site or through Amazon!

One of the number one things I recommend to people shooting with a DSLR is a fader or variable ND filter. Especially if you’re trying to get that shallow depth of field on a bright day. I went with the most affordable one out there, and it’s treated me very well!

If you want something a little nicer, here’s the one he’s using in the vid. Enjoy :D

This is an awesome Kickstarter, and a hilarious video!

What could you use it for? Jeff and I were brainstorming ideas, and all we have so far is…

1. Use it for a class presentation, hook it to the wall and every time you want to change the slide whip a ball at the wall.

2. Use it to take pictures or start recording every time _______ happens. Say every time I open my door take a picture of me. Then you could make a sweet timelapse out of all those images.

Any ideas??

It was super fun to shoot this on Sunday! Tyler and I have been buds since 3rd grade, and it was awesome to be apart of Brittnee and his’ crazy day. Can’t wait for the wedding! Technical Details:
First part of the video was filmed handheld on a GoPro HDHero2 with a Rode Lav plugged into the side. I’ve never plugged a mic in until now, and it turned out pretty well, I’ll definitely do it again! Audio during the proposal was recorded through a Tascam with the same Rode Mic taped to Tyler’s chest (with duck tape too, ouch). Everything else was filmed on a Canon 60D on a Glidecam HD4000, Monopod, and Tripod.
Lenses: Sigma 28mm, Tokina 11-16mm, Canon 135mm.
